Classroom organizer

Further the Kingdom by working behind-the-scenes to organize classroom toys and supplies to make sure all classroom areas are clean and ready for the weekend. This role is weekly but can be done anytime during the week when the church is open. A list of what needs to be done will be provided. 

Minimum Age: 18

Elementary small group leader

Impact children for Christ by coming alongside kids to shepherd and teach them about a God who loves them. Elementary Small Group Leaders teach/assist in the classroom on a weekly basis either during Midweek (the Wednesday night programming) or in one of the Saturday night or Sunday morning services.  These leaders connect relationally with the children and communicate and partner with parents. Training, supplies, and curriculum are provided.

Minimum Age: 13

Commitment: 1-2 hours, weekly during school year

ELEMENTARY SMALL GROUP LEADER [Sub]

Sickness and vacations are a normal part of life but by preparing Small Group Leader Subs in advance, we can minimize the impact it has on children's classrooms. Subs fill in as Small Group Leaders as necessary, connecting relationally with the children and communicating and partnering with parents. Training, supplies, and curriculum are provided.

Minimum Age: 13

Commitment: as needed during the school year

events Team

Work alongside the Children's Ministry Team to prepare and execute family events that equip parents to be the number one influencer of their families. As family experiences are scheduled, the Events Team helps prepare for the event by creating centerpieces, making snacks, organizing supplies, etc. They also assist the staff during these events by serving food, helping with registration, and/or greeting families. This team is notified as family experiences are scheduled.

kids' kash attendant

Kids' Kash Attendants encourage kids to become actively involved in their faith walk by manning the Kids' Kash store, a positive reward system. While kids are in class, Kids' Kash Attendants input basic data into the Bible Bucks database, and then after service, they assist kids as they purchase prizes with their earned Bible Bucks.

Minimum Age: 16

Commitment: 1-2 hours, weekly during the school year

nursery leader

Provide a safe, loving, and compassionate environment for our youngest children at Emmanuel by serving in the nursery during weekend services or during our Midweek programming on Wednesday nights. Frequency can vary per the leader's availability.

Commitment: 1-2 hours, weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly

Pre-k classroom leader

Provide leadership in the classroom and connect relationally with the PreK children to speak Biblical truth into their lives. PreK Classroom Leaders teach/assist in the classroom on a weekly basis during either Midweek (the Wednesday night programming) or in one of the Saturday night or Sunday morning services. These leaders build bonds with the children and parents. Training, supplies, and curriculum are provided.

Pre-k classroom leader [sub]

snack coordinator

Creatively bring the Bible to life through the snack offered during the Children's Ministry Midweek programming. The Snack Coordinator determines a creative snack to align with the weekly Bible story and then is responsible for purchasing and prepping the snack materials.

Commitment: 1-3 hours, weekly during the school year

stage coordinator

Enhance learning and understanding by creatively setting up the Children's Ministry stage for different themes. Every month, the Stage Coordinator sets up the elementary stage to match the monthly theme. Past examples have included: a space station, construction zone and bakery. Access to the large prop closet, training, and curriculum will be provided.

supply coordinator

Further the Kingdom each week by coordinating supplies to support the Small Group Leaders, kids, and families of Emmanuel. The Supply Coordinator works behind-the-scenes to prep and gather supplies for classrooms on a weekly basis. This role can be done anytime throughout the week when the church is open. Training and curriculum provided.
