MANDY'S STORY 

I was raised in a Christian home and knew about God, but not His love or that He wanted a personal relationship with me. In high school, an unhealthy relationship left me believing I was broken and unworthy of love. Anxiety and shame followed me into adulthood, even as I married Trent and became a mom. I worked hard to build the “perfect” life, but underneath it all, I still believed I had to earn love from God and from others.

As life went on, hardships, including family loss, trauma involving our son, and later my daughter’s anxiety, eating disorder, and POTS diagnosis, deepened my need to control everything around me. I made it my mission to fix my children and hold everything together, finding my worth in being needed while telling others God was in control even when I didn’t believe it myself.

Joining Re:Gen changed everything. God showed me I didn’t have to carry everything alone or earn His love. Through confession, community, and truth, I began replacing the lies I believed with His promises. I’m still growing and learning to surrender control, but now I know I am deeply loved, fully known, and that my identity is in Christ. He is continually restoring my soul and through Him, I truly have new life.

CHRIS’ STORY

Before re:generation, I was stuck in a cycle of failure, self-sabotage, pride, and toxic coping mechanisms. I kept trying harder to be better on my own, but I inevitably failed, which left me feeling isolated, ashamed, and spiritually empty. I believed in Jesus, but my faith was transactional, distant, and lacked true surrender. I had no close Christian friendships, fractured family relationships, and was deeply lonely, pushing people away while believing everyone had an angle.

When I was invited to re:generation, I reluctantly said yes, knowing I needed something different. Through honest community, Pastor Josh’s testimony, inventory, confession, and the support of other men, God began breaking down my pride and teaching me what it truly means to depend on Christ. For the first time, I began to believe that apart from Him I can do nothing, but through Him I can walk in freedom.

Today, I hardly recognize myself. I am actively pursuing God, building authentic relationships, and living with greater boldness, peace, humility, and purpose. My marriage, parenting, and relationships continue to improve as I surrender control and trust Christ more deeply. I still have struggles, but I now know what it means to experience true victory, healing, and new life in Him.

CHERYL'S STORY

Before re:generation, life was suffocating and exhausting. I was constantly walking on eggshells, trying to figure out how to be enough for everyone around me. I had begun to experience panic attacks and always carried a tightness in my chest, shortness of breath, and body pain from trying to manage everything on my own. I loved Jesus, but I didn’t fully trust God or fully surrender to Him on a daily basis. I placed my worth on what people thought because I hungered to be seen and loved, while living under constant pressure to be perfect.

As a wife and mom, I was deeply tired of feeling stuck, trying to control everything and believing I was responsible for keeping everyone happy. I had spent years believing lies about my worth, my identity, and what it meant to be enough.

During re:generation, Christ transformed me by quieting the lies I’d believed for so long. He taught me that I am powerless to change and that I must trust God. Through confession, surrender, and truth, He showed me that I am fully known, fully loved, and that my identity and worth are found in Him alone. I still have a lot of work to do, but God is transforming me, and I never want to go back to who I was before.
