Mission trips expand our understanding of God’s church around the world and assists us in seeing people through God’s eyes.
These experiences can build a kingdom perspective within us and awaken a passion to serve others locally or abroad.
We believe participating in a mission trip can be an important part of developing as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Niagara, New York
On the Niagara Falls mission trip, our team from Emmanuel got to serve with two other churches, one from Grove City, PA, and another one from Saint Paul Minnesota. My group served at a non-profit thrift store in the area, an arts and cultural center, and at a local Salvation Army there. All of these places had unique people who truly had a passion for God, and the effect those places have on the community is amazing. While on the trip, I also had the opportunity to lead worship with the YouthWorks team, which was an incredible experience.

Gdynia, Poland
In Poland, we helped lead an English camp where students can hone in their English language skills. English Camp is more than that, though. It is a place where kids can come and learn about God in a country where that is not always easy. It is a space where kids can ask questions they may not be able to find answers to in their everyday lives.
This past July was my first time joining this mission team. My heart was warmed to see the excitement from the Polish team and from the students who had attended the camp in previous years when they saw the returning members. They were no less welcoming to new members such as myself. I could see without a doubt that this camp had already impacted so many lives, and I was humbled to be a part of continuing that. God showed me a lot about myself on this trip. He brought me friends and laughter. He showed me that I can, in fact, do a high ropes course without breaking my neck (no small feat). He drove home to me how very, very powerful prayer is and how beautiful it can be when believers come together for the common purpose of serving Him. It was one of the most intense, incredible experiences of my life. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Anna Dennie
CHIANG RAI, THAILAND
We led a team of eight women on a return trip for ABLE ministries, helping those with special needs in the GSCC Neighborhood and at the Baan Thung Luang school to help them develop a special education class.
Grandfather Moi was one of the people we helped in the community last year by providing him with a hearing aid. It was a highlight of my return trip to visit with him again. This June he accepted Christ and the GSCC does a weekly home church with him!
The teachers at the school were able to develop specific plans for each child in their program. The Holy Spirit is moving in Thailand and I can’t wait to go back and see the fruits of these trips!
